Movie Review: Bullet to the Head

Do you expect payment after doing a job for someone? In February 2013 a man named James did some work and not only was he not payed... he was almost killed.

Director Walter Hill gives us a 92 minute action/crime/thriller called Bullet to the Head.

Familiar and up-coming faces fill the line up in this film: Sylvester Stallone as James Bonomo, Sung Kang as Taylor Kwan, Sarah Shahi as Lisa Bonomo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Robert Nikomo, Jason Momoa as Keegan, and Christian Slater as Marcus Baptiste.

In the movie, James Bonomo (Stallone) does some... dirty work for someone with a few rules in place; half the money up front and don't trust anyone. Bonomo goes to work. When it comes time for payment things go south, no money and dead partner south. Now the questions are raised, why did he get double crossed?
Who hired them for the job? When he catches up with who ever screwed him, should they just get a beat down or a bullet to the head?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Stallone and have seen almost all his movies. That being said, if you've seen any of his action films... you've seen this one. Not that this film is bad. It's got great fight scenes, nice script, easy to follow story. Enough surprises here and there to be called a thriller.

This film holds an R rating due to the violence, language, nudity and drug use.

If you're looking for a action flick and want to see Stallone hand out some beat downs. Grab this one to watch, it's worth 3 stars.
