Have you ever been in a food fight? In September 2013, the food fight
was with food, that fought back.
Directing this 95 minute animation/comedy/family/sci-fi is Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn.
Lending their voices to this food fighting cast is: Bill Hader as Flint Lockwood, Anna Faris as Sam Sparks, James Cann as Tim Lockwood, Will Forte as Chester V, Andy Samberg as Brent McHale, Benjamin Bratt as Manny, Neil Patrick Harris as Steve, Terry Crews as Earl Deveraux and Kristen Schaal as Barb.
When we last left Swallow Falls, large food was raining down and everyone had to leave. Now, Flint works for his idol, a well known inventor, Chester V., who has taken on the job to clean up Swallow Falls so the
residents may finally be able to return home. Come to find out, the FLDSMFR (Flint Lockwood's Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator) survived and is still active, something Chester V wants to change for the safety of the world. So, Flint is sent back to Swallow Falls to not only find, but finally destroy, the FLDSMFR. What was only supposed to be a mission for Flint turns into something that reunites the old gang. What they were prepared for was a land filled with food, what they found was more than just some leftovers.
If you liked the first one then you'll like this one as well. It has the same funny, family friendly script, with some surprises. The playthrough was really good and definitely entertaining. This one is something the all the family can enjoy, not just the kids. The cast did a great job bringing the charcters to life, and the animation was smooth and clean. It's worth the money, so grab the family up and hit this buffet of entertainment.
It's rated PG.
