Movie Review: 3 (2017)

I recently had the chance to screen a new film by Lou Simon called 3, which she wrote and directed. Now, if you made it to the opening of the New York Horror Film Festival this year, which runs from October 26th thru the 29th, then you might have seen Simon's film since it was the opening night feature presentation. 3 makes Simon's fifth feature film in her seven-year filmmaking career.

3 is a horror/mystery/thriller that has an eighty-two minute run time and is rated UR (unrated) but has language and violence in it. Simon's film is a serious psychological thriller about rape and revenge, but with a brilliant twist to it. The story is about a man and a woman that kidnap her rapist so that they can get a confession from him. The three of them are held up in a remote home but know that time is not on their side and it won't be long before the police

Movie Reviews: Halloween Tales (2017)

Since Halloween is right around the corner, I figured I should do a Halloween themed review. I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found Halloween Tales (2017) because it was a Halloween themed movie and it was an anthology, which I'm a huge fan of them. After watching it, I'm not really sure why it was called Halloween Tales because it had absolutely nothing to do with Halloween.

Halloween Tales is an eighty-two-minute horror anthology that was written and directed by Geno McGahee. The story is about four people that are stuck in a train station and decide to start telling each other about their worst nightmare. Through each person's tale, they cover ghosts, monsters and a couple of slashers that are looking to shed some blood.

Movie Review: Craig Quits His Day Job (2016)

Back in February, I had the pleasure of screening a film called Kultur Shock! that starred Eric Paul Chapman. Well, Chapman is back with another film under his belt, but this time around he decided to step behind the camera. Chapman's newest project, which he wrote and directed, is a comedy called Craig Quits His Day Job and it happens to be his first feature-length film. I have to say, I thought Chapman was good in front of the camera, but come to find out, he has some serious skills behind it as well. Now, the movie was released November 9th, 2016, but as of October 16th, 2017 you can find it on Amazon Prime.

This eighty-six-minute comedy is about a man named Craig and how he decides to up and quit his dead-end job one day. That moment sparks Craig to start a journey to unite quitters all around the world. Unfortunately, not everyone is running to join Craig's group, but he'll get them there... maybe.

Movie Review: Yoga Hosers (2016)

Do you think Kevin Smith's films are funny? In September 2016, I thought so, until I saw this one.

Directing 88-minute comedy/fantasy/horror is Kevin Smith.

Some of the cast is: Harley Quinn Smith as Colleen McKenzie, Lily-Rose Depp as Colleen Collette, Johnny Depp as Guy LaPointe, Justin Long as Yogi Bayer, Ralph Garman as Andronicus Arcane and Kevin Smith as The Bratzis. With a cameo by Stan Lee as 911 Dispatch.

Store clerks and besties, Colleen (Collette) and Colleen (McKenzie) are two teenagers that spend their time together doing stuff like yoga, texting, working at the store (when they have to). Now the
girls get to add to that list, saving Canada from an ancient Nazi evil that has been peacefully sleeping... until now.

Movie Review: Demons (2017)

So, the other day I was going through my social media when I noticed I had a message waiting for me. Turns out, the message had a pretty cool surprise waiting for me. It had a screener link to Uncork'd Entertainment's latest film Demons (2017), which is a horror film written and directed by Miles Doleac. Now, if you're like me, the name might not sound familiar, but you should definitely recognize Doleac's face when you see it because he has a bunch of film/television acting credits under his belt. However, I guess Doleac wasn't happy with just acting in movies because now he's writing and directing them. Demons mark Doleac's third feature film, along with The Historian (2014) and The Hollow (2016), that he's written, directed and... stared in.

So, what is the movie Demons about? Well, for a hundred and five minutes you're taken on a haunting journey that revolves around a married couple, Colin, and Kayleigh. The couple met when
